soldier-turned-prince vlad the impaler has long since put down his sword and war-waging ways. but then a “friend” invades his land, demands 1 000 children as tribute and vlad’s sworn allegiance during war. that’s when our hero sells his soul to the devil for supernatural powers that will help him defeat his enemy. at the same time, it’ll turn him into Count Dracula… Why it’s hot: Luke Evans is perfect as Vlad, the torn hero who turns to the dark side. it’s a great dracula story that draws inspiration from the real vlad the impaler and there’s not a sparkly twilight vampire in sight. just a mean, nasty and blood-thirsty (literally and figuratively) killer.
