Alfred’s ex wants him… and his baby!
Molahlegi’s come back for her man and she’s willing to snag Alfred by any means necessary.
When Alfred’s (Putla Sehlapelo) estranged wife Molahlegi (Tsholo Monedi) shows up unexpectedly on Monday 14 December, he’s not prepared for what she has to say: she no longer wants to divorce him. And it gets crazier: she wants to start a family with him – one that excludes his girlfriend Ma’Kunutu (Shoki Sebotsane) but does include their unborn baby!
BABY, COME BACK
Molahlegi’s been mean and nasty each time she’s crossed paths with Alfred since he decided that he was going to leave her in late 2014. So it’s no wonder that to him, her proposition is nothing short of crazy. “He’s horrified and is convinced that she’s lost her mind when she suggests that the baby be taken away from Ma’Kunutu to be raised by him and Molahlegi,” Putla says. “Alfred knows that his wife is a devious woman, but this is on a completely different level.”
But she’s not done with him yet and on Thursday 15 December, she returns to try persuade her husband to give them another try. “She goes as far as trying to tempt him with money and other material things, because she knows better than anyone else that the teacher’s been struggling to make ends meet,” says Putla.
TIME’S RUNNING OUT
But Alfred isn’t tempted at all by the offer… at first! “The thought of leaving Ma’Kunutu and taking their child never crosses his mind, because even if he would consider it, he knows that his babymama would never give in to these ridiculous demands,” Putla says. But by Thursday 17 December, he’s toying with the idea of reuniting with Molahlegi as his time to decide runs out. “She’s given him a few days and during this time, Alfred’s actually beginning to feel conflicted,” he says. “Maybe Alfred realises that he still has feelings for his wife, despite her cruelty towards him.”
THE OTHER WOMAN
Meanwhile, poor Ma’Kunutu is none the wiser about her boyfriend’s dilemma and after receiving a phonecall on Tuesday 22 December, she has to head out of town, leaving Alfred open to Molahlegi’s influences. “Molahlegi has the opportunity to continue poisoning Alfred’s mind as they spend more time together,” Putla explains. But how close will they get and will it be too late by the time that Ma’Kunutu returns?
