Season 1 M-Net 19:30 Episode 7 Dr Charles has an unusual diagnosis for April’s oddly behaving homeless patient.

Dr Natalie Manning (played by Torrey DeVitto) in medical drama Chicago Med (2015-current) is a doctor who goes the extra mile for her patients. And like her character, 31-year-old Torrey also has compassion for those who suffer and that’s why she’s passionate about humanitarian causes.

1 Torrey was born to Liberty and Mary DeVitto in Huntington, New York in 1984. Liberty’s played drums for singer-songwriter Billy Joel for ages. Torrey was named after her mother’s maiden name and she has two sisters Devon and Maryelle, who’re also in the entertainment industry.

2 After graduating from Winter Park High in Florida 2002, Torrey went to Japan to work as a fashion model.

3 Her dad’s musical talents rubbed off on her and she took violin lessons from the age of six. Torrey actually played the violin on Raphael Saadiq’s 2004 album Ray Ray, as well as Stevie Nick’s 2011 album In Your Dreams.

4 After a couple of minor roles in shows including Dawson’s Creek (1998-2003) in 2003 and One Tree Hill (2003-2012) in 2008, Torrey was cast as Melissa Hastings in the drama Pretty Little Liars (2010-current), where she still has a recurring role.

5 She married Paul Wesley (Stefan in The Vampire Diaries, 2009-current) in 2011 and from 2012 to 2013 worked with him as Dr Meredith Fell in The Vampire Diaries. They split in late 2013. 6 In 2013, Torrey adopted a Chihuahua mix breed dog from The Shelter Pet Project and named it Beau. She adds that he’s been the love of her life ever since. “My sister and I like to call him ‘mushy mush’ because he’s just like a pile of loving mush that melts in your arms,” she gushes.
