FEBRUARY: LOVE MATTERS
Namhla finds herself on cloud nine when Adze pops the question, but Lucy isn’t pleased that her daughter’s engaged for the second time in less than a year, much less to a foreigner, and she orders the couple to split up. Wandile is having issues with his sexuality and he takes it out on a stranger, while his brother Vuyo’s mean streak is revealed when he snubs Xolelwa as a potential mate and then smites an unsuspecting Angela. The Diales are in trouble when the community turns against them and attacks one of their own, while turmoil at the Moroka house escalates when the elders get involved, forcing Karabo to drop a bombshell on everyone. Eve (Jolene Martin) approaches Angela in secret when she gets an idea, and after apologising, Wandile begins to question what made him react the way he did as his dad and Karabo’s relationship hangs in the balance. Gadaffi is horrified by what he walks into at home but Tshidi is convinced that it’s the only way to protect the family.
MARCH: EXTREME MEASURES
Tshidi’s weapon of protection goes missing and she worries, but she’s not as upset now as she’ll be when she learns that the Khumalo brothers have found out that her husband ratted them out to the cops. Patricia begins to worry when Tshidi brings strange animals into the building as she tries to build a fort around Gadaffi. Meanwhile, Smanga is keen to see the wedding between Zola and Karabo happen and he begs Uncle Tebogo to allow it, prompting Tau to declare war on Smanga. Siya seems to be ready to take his dad’s lead when he shows signs of proposing to Angela, but she’s terrified, and Wandile makes a shocking realisation, but while Siya’s taken aback, his father Zola is having none of it and beats his son up after his revelation. Elsewhere, an old hand in the underworld is back – could it be Jack (Vusi Kunene) – and Gadaffi’s on his payroll. Meanwhile, back at home, the Phakades have to deal with giving in to the snake’s every demand as they play a dangerous game with black magic. The Radebe men are having a difficult time as Zola faces a secret his son’s been keeping and Siya tries to heal his broken heart by reverting to his bachelor ways.
