It’s three months after the events of the season 1 finale in iZombie (2015-current), where Liv (Rose McIver) used the last remaining zombie cure to turn her ex-boyfriend Major (Robert Buckley) and nemesis Blaine (David Anders) back into humans. Here’s what’s in store for the five main characters in season 2…

Liv: brain-munching Liv is still hunting baddies with detective Clive (Malcolm Goodwin). Bestie and former roomie Peyton (Aly Michalka) has left but will return in episode 3 (25 February), but until then Liv is clueless that her new roomie Gilda (Leanne Lapp) is a spy – she’s the daughter of energy drink company Max Rager’s CEO Vaughn Du Clark (Steven Weber).

Major: he’s now a personal trainer and thanks to the cure, he can sense zombies. He’s also being blackmailed by Vaughn into systematically killing off Seattle’s zombies.

Clive: working for Seattle PD is going to get complicated for Clive, who’s got a new boss who hates him and a colleague who fancies him. Stony-faced secretive Clive dating? That’ll be fun…

Ravi (Rahul Kohli): Liv’s boss at the mortuary is still working on a zombie cure but needs more tainted Utopium. He’ll be distracted by both Peyton’s return and a new love interest.

Blaine: the zombie who turned Liv is human now but pretending to still be undead so that he can keep supplying Seattle’s zombies with brains (and keep his bank account full). His new source of brains? He runs a funeral parlour!
