Handsome Bollywood star Param Singh plays hard-working and loyal Randhir Shekhawat on popular Indian drama My Life My Choice: Sadda Haq (2013current). We had a quick chat with the 27-year-old about his challenges, relationships with his co-stars and hobbies.

What are everyone’s relationships like offcamera? We’re good friends. We always have a lovely time on the set. It’s almost like my second home with my work family around. Some of my closest friends are from the show. What’s been your greatest challenge filming the show? It was definitely doing the death scene while terrorists were attacking [episode 325-330 from 25 November to 2 December 2015]. It was a first for me and the emotions ended up being so intense that the mood of the set became numb for a while. But we bounced back and it was a great set of episodes. I’m glad that we turned our story around enough to let the characters live different moments. What other projects are you currently working on? Nothing else. With a show like Sadda Haq, that’s airing six days a week, we barely have time to live another character. We, at times, end up living in our characters’ shoes for more hours in a day than our real selves. The only other thing we keep working on is our bodies at the gym. We have to stay fit and keep ourselves in check. And what do you do when you’re not filming? I love watching films, so I do that most of the time. I bingewatch on days when I’m not shooting. I also find travelling to be a stress buster.
