Melanie’s back in Salem as the town gathers to mourn the loss of Daniel. Planning Daniel’s funeral pushes Nicole to her limits, and Jennifer finds herself trying to cope with her injuries. Nicole blames Eric for Daniel’s death and Eric’s guilt worsens when Brady also lays into him for what happened. Chad asks Abigail to marry him, and Ava drops a baby bombshell on Steve that causes friction between Kayla and Ava. Hope’s confrontation with Stefano puts her in Andre’s line of fire, and Victor’s convinced that Caroline’s visions might reveal a deep, dark Kiriakis secret.

Ashley bonds with Dr Neville, and Neil organises a date with Nikki, hoping that Hilary will see them and get jealous. A desperate Jill turns to Dr Neville and Devon for help with Billy, while Victoria’s relieved that Jack, not her, must decide whether to turn off Billy’s life support. Hilary realises that Neil and Nikki are faking it and calls Neil’s bluff, but Victor thinks that the relationship is real and asks Nikki where their marriage stands. Elsewhere, Jack makes a painful decision, Neil gives in to temptation, and Lily and Hilary lock horns.
