huge part in why I got this role. When I auditioned, I channelled my father – growing up in The Bronx [in New York] with a dad in law enforcement made me carry myself with a sense of awareness and I took that in with me. I also called him throughout the season with questions on everything and he had a tiny role in the background in the pilot (which aired 22 February 2016) and in the second episode (29 February). So which episode has been your favourite? The telenovela episode (episode 17 on 13 June). I love the writing, the comedic tone, the charm and most of all Villa’s mom Daisie (Lisa Vidal – Kara in Being Mary Jane, 2013- current in 2016). Lisa does an awesome job. She’s hilarious.
