Sibling rivalry reaches new heights for Tsietsi and Reba. Weekdays e.tv (*194) 20:00

Imagine living under the same roof as the person who tried to kill you and see them at work every day? Sounds like the stuff of nightmares, but Reba (Zenande Mfenyana) is sleeping with one eye open so that she’s ready if her twin brother Tsietsi (Nyaniso Dzedze) tries to take her out again in a fight for the Namane family throne. “She’s got a gun now and she knows how to use it,” Zenande reveals. “Anytime is playtime!” Little does Reba know that she and Tsietsi are going to get closer than either thought possible.

WORKING TOGETHER…

Reba isn’t pleased that she’s forced to work with Tsietsi on an important project on Thursday 23 June. “She’s against it,” says Zenande. “Tsietsi is allowed to just waltz back into the company [after his murder trial], while she thought that her parents understood what she went through.” Reba realises that Mandlakazi and Selo (Nambitha Mpumlwana and Patrick Shai) are unashamedly playing favourites and encourage a civil attitude. “They get along for the sake of the business pitch, but Reba’s not keen on getting into bed with the enemy.”

FLYING SOLO

Just because there is a truce doesn’t mean that Reba’s resting on her laurels: she grabs the chance to prove herself when Tsietsi goes to Ficksburg on Friday 24 June to prepare for his traditional wedding with his wife and babymamma Mpho (Nyalleng Thibedi). “Reba is determined to sabotage him, using tricks that she’s learnt from being in the Namane family,” says Zenande. And Tsietsi can’t fight back. Mpho gives him an ultimatum on Monday 27 June: their marriage or the deal that he and Reba are working on. Pushed into a corner, Tsietsi’s forced to do the one thing he hates: relinquishing power to Reba.

LOSING IT

And while she’s basking in the spotlight as the big deal at work, Reba gets an eye opener when potential client Malaika (Thuli Thabethe) threatens to take her business elsewhere after she has a falling out with her ex-boyfriend Tsietsi on Friday 1 July. “Reba pleads and goes out of her way to make sure that Malaika stays,” says Zenande. But will Malaika’s loyalties lie with the company that her ex is involved in or will she be spiteful and make Reba appear incompetent? Perhaps this project is calling for a little more teamwork than Reba was ready for…
