Jensen (far right) has a few nasty surprises in store for Gabi and her hubby Nick. Weekdays SABC3 (*193) 17:00

Our “stranger danger” alarms start ringing on Thursday 23 June when a tough-looking thug approaches Nick (Blake Berris) and his heavily pregnant wife Gabi (Camila Banus) outside University Hospital. Gabi might find it creepy when the thug says, “Don’t you think we should go somewhere a little bit more private? Let her tag along. I’m sure the pretty woman would love to hear all the things I have to say.” But it’s nightmare fuel for Nick. The thug is Jensen (Derek Magyar) – the man who beat and raped Nick repeatedly in Statesville prison in June 2015, so his over-familiar approach to Nick isn’t just creepy, it’s cruel. And Nick’s fears about what Jensen could do are paralysing when he forces them to go with him at gunpoint on Friday 24 June. But some of Nick’s other enemies could save their lives…

WILL TO THE RESCUE

Nick has tormented Gabi’s babydaddy Will (Chandler Massey) and his boyfriend Sonny (Freddie Smith) for being gay, but the two see what’s happening and set off to the rescue when Jensen drags Nick and Gabi to Smith Island. Will is watching as Nick breaks down Will (left) and Sonny watch on as Jensen takes Nick and Gabi.

when Jensen threatens him in the nastiest way possible with memories of what he did to him in prison. Chandler reveals, “I had a great opportunity to hide behind a cabinet and just watch Blake pour his heart out to this creepy murderer guy. It was some of my favourite scenes from Days that I have ever seen. Blake was amazing!”

THERE’S STILL HOPE

Officer Hope Brady (Kristian Alfonso) cocks her gun and rushes head-first into the action too on Monday 27 June after Nick’s prison protectorturned-blackmailer Vargas (Sean Douglas) warns her about what Jensen did to Nick. Nick won’t be in the clear though after the gunsmoke clears on Tuesday 5 July – “It’s terrible what happened to Nick. That is something no one would wish on anybody, but in Will’s mind, it still doesn’t give Nick a free pass,” warns Chandler.
