Platinum blonde hair and red lips aren’t the be-all and end-all of Gwen Stefani. The 46-year-old popstar’s sold millions of records as a solo artist and as the frontwoman of ’90s group No Doubt. And all that experience has helped her become one of the most popular mentors on reality talent show The Voice (2011-current), alongside musicians Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams and new boyfriend Blake Shelton.

She was named after a stewardess 1

in Arthur Hailey’s 1968 novel Airport by her Italian-American marketing executive dad Dennis and accountant mom Patti, who’s of Celtic heritage.

She’s written loads of hit songs 2

but revealed that it was “a difficult process” because she’s dyslexic.

Gwen’s brother Eric (48) asked her 3

to sing for his band in 1986 – No Doubt. Then-17-year-old Gwen was the backup vocalist until lead singer John Spence committed suicide in 1987.

She married her muso boyfriend 4

Gavin Rossdale (frontman of rock band Bush) in 2002 in London. Their son Kingston was born in 2006, followed by Zuma in 2008. Their third son, Apollo is two years old.

Gwen filed for divorce in 2015 5

after Gavin’s affair with the kids’ nanny. She’s currently dating country singer Blake Shelton (39).

She isn’t just a singer and reality 6

TV personality – Gwen’s an actress too. She made her acting debut in Martin Scorcese’s 2004 biographical drama movie The Aviator, playing Jean Harlow opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. It’s also the same year she released her first solo album Love. Angel. Music. Baby and her clothing line L.A.M.B, which is influenced by Guatemalan, Japanese, and Jamaican fashions.
