Ed’s letter

The SABC recently announced a mandate for an increased percentage of local content on free channels (read more on p8), which means that we may have to bid farewell to international soaps such as Days and Bold, as well as Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Mentalist and CSI: Miami. The problem is, we don’t know yet as the SABC couldn’t confirm any planned changes when we went to print with this issue. Of course, this decision affects not only our content, but also our TV guides. Accuracy is our priority and please know that we will do everything we can to ensure that we have up-to-date guides when we go to print. Another change in our TV guides is the addition of the schedules for FOX. With GlowTV closing down in June, we chose to include this channel as its replacement as it has a wider audience after recently being included on DStv Compact.
