Love overload

Who will Jabu choose: Iris (above) or Zama (below)? Weekdays Mzansi Magic (*161) 20:30

Businesswoman Thandeka (Nomzamo Mbatha) returned from Kenya on Wednesday 6 July and was happy to see her husband Sbu (Sdumo Mtshali), but he wasn’t feeling the same – he’s been getting cosy with his friend Mabuyi (Florence Mokgatsi) while his wife’s been away. At the same time, hardened taxi boss Iris (Mampho Brescia) took a love spear to the heart when she learnt that her man Jabu (Pallance Dladla) had been flirting with Zama (Linda Mtoba), the daughter of her business rival Judas (Menzi Ngubane). So where to now for these two love triangles?

TAXI BOSS OR TAXI DAUGHTER?

Jabu knows that he’s done wrong by Iris and he wants to straighten things out with her on Wednesday 20 July, but she isn’t listening. “Iris has always been there for Jabu,” explains Pallance. “She helped him kick his drug addiction in December 2015 and she bailed him out of jail in March 2016. To drop her and flirt with Zama wasn’t the loyal thing to do.” Kicked to the curb, Jabu uses Mkabayi’s (Thembi Nyandeni) advice on Wednesday 27 July to try redeem him- self, but it’s not enough. Jabu doesn’t love Zama but he enjoys her company, and if he wants to be with Iris, whom he loves, something’s got to give.

WIFE OR LOVER?

Will Sbu’s wife Thandeka (above) let him take second wife Mabuyi (below)? As for Sbu, Mabuyi has a special place in his heart and Sdumo says, “She is a calm and beautiful woman and while he loves his wife Thandeka, Mabuyi is always there and gives him something to hope for.” Sbu wants Thandeka to understand that he isn’t cheating on her on Friday 22 July and Sdumo reveals that Sbu “approaches Thandeka to propose taking a second wife. His family know of his intentions with Mabuyi and that he wants to start a family with her”. Thandeka doesn’t take the news well, but it’s up to Sbu to make a decision. “Sbu and Thandeka have been through so much and there are fans rooting for their love,” Sdumo explains. “But Sbu’s also been going through a lot with his family, trying to find himself. The one person who’s always been there to support him is Mabuyi…”
