Reneilwe (Amo Chidi) is floored on Wednesday 20 July when she finds out that the mysterious woman who’s been telling her how much trouble she could be in for sleeping with her new boss Zolani (Melusi Mbele) is Zolani’s fiancée Nomalanga (Nomalanga Shozi). And worse is on the way for Rene, because Nomalanga is going to do something about her suspicions that Zolani is cheating on her.
LIE TO ME
Zolani wants to be with Reneilwe and not his betrothed Nomalanga, but it’s not that simple. In order to save his relationship with Reneilwe, Zolani pleads with her on Friday 22 July not to leave him and explains what’s really going on with him and Nomalanga. When they were dating in their youth, Zolani said that he wanted to marry Nomalanga one day, so her rich father did Nomalanga’s got her man.
everything for Zolani and his brother – from paying school fees to linking Zolani up with connections in the business world, all in exchange for him honouring his promise to one day wed his daughter. “So Nomalanga is here to claim what’s hers,” says Melusi.
EXPOSED
But on Tuesday 26 July, Zolani’s house of lies comes tumbling down when his fiancée finds out that he has been cheating on her – and Nomalanga wasn’t wrong to suspect that it was Reneilwe. “Zolani tells Nomalanga that he wants to be with Reneilwe, but to his surprise, their wedding has already been planned – the money for lobola is ready thanks to her rich family, the venue and everything else has been arranged for their big day and now Zolani is being forced to choose between pleasure – Reneilwe – and business – Nomalanga. “With Zolani, business always comes first and Nomalanga’s connections earn her a husband,” Melusi reveals.
BYE-BYE BABY
Zolani ditches his young lover on Thursday 28 July and he doesn’t tell her that he’s getting married the very next day. But Nomalanga takes care of that when she sends the happy snaps of their big day to Reneilwe later on Friday 29 July to gloat that she got her guy in the end. But that doesn’t mean this marriage is going to work. “There’s a possibility that Zolani may want to continue a relationship with Reneilwe outside of his marriage…” hints Melusi. Reneilwe’s devastated at losing Zolani.
