Down to the bone

Season 11 Mondays (from 25 July) FOX (*125) 19:20

When it comes to identifying a victim in cop show Bones (2005- current), things can sometimes get tricky, especially when the body’s state of decay has left them without a face! And Bones doesn’t shy away from showing all the gory details: fans see everything from a victim’s insides popping out, to bloody flesh and skin rotting off. But for forensic anthropologist Dr Brennan aka Bones (Emily Deschanel) and her FBI partner and husband Agent Booth (David Boreanaz), being up close and personal with a corpse is nothing new and they pride themselves on finding the killer responsible. In season 10 (2015), things ended on a sad note with Bones and Booth deciding to move on from their jobs at the Jeffersonian Institute and the FBI, leaving viewers to wonder what would happen next. “In our 11th season, we have not lost any momentum,” Emily reveals. And she’s not kidding – in episode 1, a body is identified as Booth… but there’s something fishy about it! Bones (left) and Booth are back for more action-packed crimes this season.

NOT TO BE MISSED

Serial killer In episode 12 (10 October), Bones and Co will be hunting a serial killer who turns his victims into his personal marionettes. Musical guest stars Famous acappella band Pentatonix drop by in episode 16 (17 October) when a college student who performs in an acappella band is found dead in a campus lab. Finding love again Dr Saroyan (Tamara Taylor) and intern Arastoo (Pej Vahdat) get back together in episode 18 (31 October) and decide to take the plunge and get married.
