Is Uzalo really going five days a week, tvplus? – ANGELA, DURBAN On Monday 11 July, SABC chief operating officer Hlaudi Motsoeneng told the press, “I’m going to give Uzalo five days, to compete accordingly with other soapies or dramas.” The arrangement, however, hadn’t yet been discussed with the soapie’s producers at the time of that announcement, so it will be a while before we see results onscreen. SABC spokesperson Kaizer Kganyago told tvplus, “SABC can confirm that programmes which have performed well in terms of revenue and audience will be given five-day slots. The SABC will make a formal announcement after the engagements with the parties are done.” NB!
