Has someone just hijacked Mastermind’s dad’s grave?

Crime doesn’t pay. But you couldn’t tell that to carjacker Mastermind (Ntokozo “TK” Dlamini) because at the moment, he’s rolling in cash. And now that he has money, Mastermind doesn’t just want fancy clothes and fast cars – he also wants to honour his past. “He’s always wanted to do an unveiling for his father, to give him a proper send-off with a nice headstone as a form of respect and as a way of thanking him,” explains TK. So on Monday 8 August, Mastermind and his sister Sma (Sihle Ndaba) journey out to their father’s humble grave at the local cemetery to take one last look at the sad marker and that little patch of earth before they give their late dad a real grave stone. But when they arrive, there’s already a stone up… and the name on it is not their dad’s!

CRIME TIME

Mastermind leans in to read the new headstone, unable to believe his eyes. “He knows the exact co-ordinates of where his father was buried and this puzzles and really, really angers him. It’s something that he feels very strongly about,” says TK. Mastermind immediately suspects corruption and foul play and he goes off to complain to detectives Dhlomo (Don Mlangeni Nawa) and Mondli (Thembinkosi Thwala) on Tuesday 9 August, while at the salon, GC’s (Khaya Dladla) imagination runs wild when Sma reveals her heartbreaking news.
