AUGUST: RECKLESS ON THE REBOUND

Doc and Lerato are put in an awkward position when it’s revealed that they were given all of the shares in Red Records in exchange for helping Solomon escape. David’s celebration over Solomon’s departure turns into a nightmare when Brenda’s ghost haunts him, forcing the gangster to seek out the help of a sangoma, whose assistance seems to have worked when David’s luck begins to change. Elsewhere, Themba is getting cosy with Reneilwe as the two go from flirting to being partners in crime and causing all sorts of mischief – as well as winding up in bed. Bash, who’s still clinging to his feelings for Reneilwe despite her friend-zoning him, gets upset about her new relationship and he loses his cool, which costs him his job that’s ironically then given to Themba.

It’s Emmanuel’s matric dance and he wants to ask Mapula to go as his date, but someone at school has other ideas. Zinzi makes a serious accusation against Mapula but then proves where her loyalties lie when she chooses a friend over Mapula when it comes to a sensitive issue that could make or break Mapule’s year.

SEPTEMBER: SIBLING RIVALRY

Suffo demands the truth from Themba about what’s going on between him and Suffo’s wives. Meanwhile, Lerato suggests that Bongi get a PA and she has just the person for the job: a handsome young man. This causes tension between Bongi and Doc and threatens Doc’s plans of having another child with her. Widening the rift between the engaged couple is the fact that Bongi’s new assistant is organising out-of-town gigs for Bongi, making Doc uneasy. Emmanuel’s matric dance doesn’t go as planned when his date dumps him and then asks for a second chance a few days later, but Zinzi is determined to keep them apart. Puleng and Niki find out what Themba and Suffo’s fight was about from Kop, who was there to witness the confrontation. Puleng then works out that Bash told Suffo about Niki’s affair with Themba and Bash tries to get Niki to run away, but everyone’s shocked when Niki receives a loving message from Suffo.
