Namhla falls for the man she’d accused of sexual harassment.

Smanga (Moopi Mothibeli) doesn’t know it yet, but someone has their eye on him… and it’s the last person he’d expect. When Namhla (Thulisile Phongolo) makes her move, Smanga’s left speechless – this is the same girl who’d called him a pervert in June last year when she accused him of abusing his authority to get her to take off her clothes during a photoshoot. But working with Smanga for the past few months on his election campaign must’ve shed a different light on him, because Namhla can’t begin to restrain herself. How will Smanga react though?

STEALING A KISS

After dropping subtle hints for days, on Tuesday 4 October Namhla shocks Smanga when she grabs him for a kiss. “It’s a ‘deer in the headlights’ moment for him. It all just came out of the blue and he’s dumbstruck by the moment,” says Moopi. “He jots the kiss down to a spur-of-the-moment thing and maintains that they should keep things professional between them at all times. Aware of their history, he notes how volatile and harmful this could be, so a professional front is maintained for now.” But, adds Moopi, the seed of passion has been planted….

STARTING OVER

In an effort to move on from the incident, Smanga asks Namhla to return to work on Friday 7 October after she fled following the kiss. “Given their past, Smanga would hate the idea that his employee left under these circumstances,” says Moopi, adding that as a budding politician with a public image to maintain, “Smanga can’t afford any blowback and sells her the story that the afterschool
