A ruined reputation
Jakes lands in the middle of Denton’s casino prostitute plan.

Things are going from bad to worse at Kings Casino since dodgy Denton (Terence Bridgett) was paroled in September. Not only has he built an underground casino, he and his sidekick, private security firm CEO Pam (Kate Normington), murdered the Kings Casino head of security Mhambi (Motlatji Ditodi) on Thursday 15 September. And Denton isn’t done yet! On Wednesday 28 September, he sends high- class prostitutes to his rivals with one task: to ruin Kings’ good name.
GIRL INTERRUPTED
On Thursday 29 September, eagle-eyed David (Antony Coleman) spots the prostitutes lurking around the casino and asks his brother Paul (Justin Strydom) to round them up, but Paul wants proof before doing anything. Meanwhile on Monday 3 October, player development executive Jakes (Thapelo Mokoena), who’s also Denton’s mole, is summoned by Pam to sort out an issue with a prostitute named Chastity (Boity Thulo). He finds her in a Kings Casino suite with an unconscious client and says Boity, “She suspects that her client overdosed on drugs.” As soon as Jakes arrives, he calls casino butler Thandi Jakes helps Chastity the prostitute out of her tight spot. (Nqobile Nunu Khumalo) and gets her to hide Chastity in an empty suite.
DAMAGE CONTROL
There’s bad news on Tuesday 4 October – before Jakes could move the client, he died. Now Jakes is next to the corpse being interrogated by Paul on Tuesday 4 October and Thapelo explains that “Jakes has known Chastity since they were kids and sees her as a sister. To protect her, he doesn’t tell Paul that she was in the room too and hides the drugs he found in his pocket”. Later that day, Kings Casino CEO Busi (JoAnne Reyneke) hits the roof because the dead client was high-profile and she has to do major damage control.
IN NEED OF PROTECTION
As for Chastity, she flees the casino on Wednesday 5 October. “She is petrified of Denton and knows if he hears of the incident and finds her, he will kill her,” Boity explains. By the end of the day, Jakes tracks her down in the parking lot where she’s selling drugs…
