The culinary academy’s put up a trip to Cape Town to meet a renowned chef as the prize of a cooking contest and Kat (Patrick Seleka) is sure that he’s going to win. “He’s excited about the cook-off because he really admires the chef whom the winner will meet,” explains Patrick. But it turns out that Kat’s plans are going to flop like a badly prepared soufflé and he decides to challenge the system. Sour grapes or could he be onto something?

But on Thursday 6 October, the pair are kicked out of class and labelled as trouble-makers.

RULED BY RACISM

In an effort to escalate the matter, the boys take to social media on Tuesday 11 October, accusing the culinary academy of racism. “Kat isn’t the kind of person to go on a rampage, but he’s fighting for what he believes in,” says Patrick. But this is one fight for what’s right that could cost him more than he can afford to lose…
