These young camp counsellors are in for a frightening summer holiday. Season 1 Fridays (from 14 October) Vuzu AMP (*103) 21:30
The pretty young counsellors who have been bussed into Camp Stillwater in 1989 aren’t all going to make it to the season 1 finale of Dead Of Summer (2016- current). “Each episode will focus on a counsellor and we will flash back to who they were before they got to camp. You’ll see them literally facing their demons,” says co- creator Edward Kitsis, who’s an executive producer on fantasy series Once Upon A Time (2011- current). Although not officially renewed for season 2, Dead Of Summer is planned as an anthology series (like horror show American Horror Story, 2011- current), with Edward adding that “every year [season] is a new year. It’s not like we’re telling ’89 over five years. This story gets done. Next year, maybe it’ll be 1970. It could be 1942 or it could be 2004…” One thing that will remain is the main character: the lake. Says co- creator Adam Horowitz, “The camp was established in the ’20s, but stuff has been going on longer…”
