In Venda, Susan is suspicious when her hubby Chief Azwindini refuses to give up the name of the girl he’s interested in. After speaking to people around Thathe, Susan realises that Azwindini is chasing after traditional healer Mulimisi’s ex- girlfriend Mpho and she tells the other wives in the royal household. Meanwhile in Joburg, Thandaza has second thoughts about divorcing Ranthumeng and she tries to patch up their relationship, but Ranthumeng isn’t sure that he wants to stay married. Hangwani and Gizara are also in a predicament about their marriage but they are trying to work things out, and later a housing issue sees Nonny desperately needing a place to crash, while Pule (Zwelethu Nkutsho) returns to Joburg with an interesting proposition.

Love-sick Ndalamo has been moping about ever since his girlfriend doctor Nthabeleng (Mona Monyane) moved to Cape Town and his sad demeanour gets Rendani thinking about playing

matchmaker. While Rendani searches for a new love interest for Ndalamo, she doesn’t think to ask him and find out if he’s ready to move on, which could blow up in her face. Elsewhere, Vusi has to deal with an unwelcome blast from his past in the form of Onika (Makgotso M), who stalked him earlier in 2016. Later, Vusi worries that his life is in danger again, especially as Onika didn’t get what she wanted the first time round: Vusi’s love and attention. Later, Mpho finds herself stuck between a rock and a hard place but she realises that the decision she’s about to make will change her life. The New Year sees budding romance in Venda and the wedding celebration is a lavish affair that should join two families, but instead a series of uphill battles and obstacles try to derail the couple from saying their “I do’s”. Not everyone is sure that the marriage is a good thing, including the bride’s jealous ex who’s hiding in the shadows waiting to pounce and take back his woman. Meanwhile, the unsuspecting groom is about to get a nasty wakeup call and be forced to fight for the woman he loves.
