Eric has a flashback to his rape during a pre-marital counselling session with Brady and Kristen, JJ throws a party at Daniel’s place while he’s out of town, and Theresa joins forces with Anne to take revenge on Jennifer. On Stefano’s orders, EJ blackmails Chad into moving back into the DiMera mansion, while Will is furious when he finds out that Sonny didn’t tell him that Nick and Gabi are together again, but EJ tells him to work things out rather than lose his cool. Kate later wonders if Rafe’s relationship with his physiotherapist Jordan is strictly professional.
DECEMBER
Gabi dumps Nick, unaware of his plans for their future, while Kristen realises that Marlena has the recording. Eric accuses Nicole of raping him at the hotel, and Sami realises what EJ has sacrificed to save her and she gives Stefano a piece of her mind over his house rules. Marge crashes Sami and EJ’s engagement party with a gun and she accidentally shoots Chad. Stefano vows to change his evil ways if Chad makes it through surgery, and JJ runs wild after Adrienne tells him the truth about Jack raping Kayla. Jordan catches Kate digging in her business, and Daniel must play along with Theresa’s attempts to make it look like they’re having an affair to protect JJ after Theresa ODs while she and JJ are in bed.
JANUARY
Kristen confesses to EJ about raping Eric, and Victor finds out that Kristen had sex with Eric but doesn’t tell Marlena, instead letting Marlena play Kristen’s rape recording from Kristen and Brady’s wedding. Brady dumps Kristen, Eric lashes out at Marlena as Kristen pulls a gun on her, and Maggie walks out on Victor. Kristen vanishes after an accident during a car chase, and Sami finds out that EJ knew about Kristen’s plot. Eric is attacked by a churchgoer after the “sex” recording goes viral, and Shane and Kimberly visit Theresa in rehab. Later, Kate and Sami help Gabi to roll Nick’s “corpse” in the river after Gabi clobbers him with a rock.
