Businessman KK (Macdonald Ndou) has an unfavourable new reputation as a woman abuser, thanks to lies from his crazy, manipulative ex- girlfriend Matshidiso (Buhle Samuels) who told the cops in October that KK assaulted her. The police knocked on KK’s office door on Wednesday 9 November to arrest him and investigate Matshidiso’s allegations, only to free KK on Thursday 10 November when they can’t find solid evidence that he beats Matshidiso. Scorned, KK now focuses on making Matshidiso pay for what she’s done to him.

GREEDY ACCOMPLICE

Friday 11 November sees KK plot to get Matshidiso out of his bed and out of his mining business for good. And he knows where to start: Matshidiso’s shady security guard accomplice Nomarashiya (Sana Nchunu). “He needs to know what his enemy Matshidiso is planning and what her next move is if he wants to stay one step ahead,” explains Macdonald. “By KK bribing Nomarashiya on Monday 14 November, he can get the info he needs to take down Matshidiso.” Greedy Noma can’t say no to money and swaps her loyalties on Tuesday 15 November, now making mental notes of Matshidiso’s plans so that she can reveal them to KK, all while Matshidiso is blissfully unaware of the wolf in her midst.

TRAPPED LIKE A RAT

“KK plans to get even with Matshidiso and block her path in business,” hints Macdonald. “He also makes sure that business people are aware that none of Matshidiso’s credentials are genuine [she falsified her degrees and diplomas and was caught out in April 2016].” No wonder businessman KK is looking smug on Wednesday 16 November, certain that everything’s in place to ruin his accuser for good. And he won’t have long to wait – Thursday 17 November sees Matshidiso walk head-first into KK’s trap when she enters into a shady business deal and gets caught on camera. “KK’s revenge plan is quite intense and there is an unexpected twist that sees Matshidiso being framed for a crime she didn’t commit,” Buhle reveals.

BEHIND BARS

Unaware that her meeting is all part of a staged trap, Matshidiso’s business plans come crashing down by Tuesday 22 November when the police arrive at her office and accuse her in front of her co-workers of being involved in a scam. Matshidiso is stunned as she’s being hauled away to jail and later she’s devastated when she realises that Nomarashiya stabbed her in the back and helped KK. “Only Noma knew her plan, so it must’ve been her,” hints Buhle. “Nomarashiya is the one person Matshidiso counted on and considered an actual friend. Nomarashiya doesn’t have morals or any monetary value, but she was always willing to help. She knows everything about Matshidiso and now that friendship is destroyed.”

This isn’t the end of the line for Matshidiso though – her being backed into a corner is a dangerous proposition and she’s going to come out fighting, Buhle adds. “She’s furious. But Matshidiso has a fighting spirit. She knows that this situation is temporary.”
