Pregnant Puleng’s in trouble when Suffo demands a DNA test.
Just because Suffocate (Mduduzi Mabaso) has left his gangster ways behind him doesn’t mean that he’s to be messed with. “He still has a temper and when he gets angry, people must run far,” explains Mduduzi. But unluckily for pregnant second wife Puleng (Tebogo Khalo) on Thursday 1 December, Suffo’s not letting her out of his sight. Not until she’s taken a DNA test and he has proof of who fathered their baby… because it’s probably not him!
WHO’S THE DADDY?
Back in June 2016, Suffo and Puleng learnt that a rare genetic combination meant that Puleng couldn’t carry their baby to term. But since they’ve passed that all-important date in this pregnancy, Suffo is suspicious that his brother Themba (Sphamandla Dhludhlu) got Puleng pregnant. And it’s not out of the question, since Suffo already knows that Themba had an affair with his first wife Niki (Nolo Phiri) in July 2016.
“He expects something bad,” says Mduduzi. “He expects that the test will show that he isn’t the father.” Puleng’s henchman Toolkit (Paul Maila) lets the cat out the bag on Wednesday 23 November that Themba was in town in mid- October 2016 and when Suffo hears about this, he summons his Aunt Ntombizodwa (Deli Malinga) to answer questions about Puleng and Themba on Friday 25 November. “Suffo is battling his anger and fury,” Mduduzi reveals. “He wants answers and he wants them from his wife Puleng too [on Monday 28 and Tuesday 29 November].”
DEVIL ON SUFFO’S SHOULDER
Meanwhile, Niki is taking full advantage of her rival’s bad luck. She’s been in Suffo’s bad books since he kicked her out in late September 2016 for her affair but now she’s using this opportunity to get close to Suffo again. On Monday 5 December, she even goes so far as to suggest to Puleng that she tell Suffo the truth because he’s going to find out anyway. “Puleng has always been the voice of reason for Suffocate,” adds Mduduzi. “I don’t think that he’ll go as far as murder, but he needs to know the answers. He needs to know if he is going to be a father or not.” And those answers could be just around the corner as Suffo forces Puleng to take the DNA test on Tuesday 6 December…
