David and Dhanny consider taking their unusual partnership to the next level.
David’s (Antony Coleman) love life has been complicated since August 2016, when the Kings Casino CFO divorced Analine (Rolanda Marais). “He’s been living it up in his penthouse, but now he’s starting to feel a bit empty,” says Antony. And who better to fill that void then his protégé and Kings Casino Player Development Executive Dhanny (Mayuri Naidu). After all, they have been spending a lot of time together lately…
SADISTIC STRANGLER
David isn’t a guy to be messed with – he won’t think twice about strangling someone… literally. He did it to his dad in season 1 in 2013 and pinned the murder on his brother Paul (Justin Strydom). Strangling has become a bit of a fetish for him, Antony explains. He tried to do it to Busi (Jo-Anne Reyneke) in July when she betrayed him and he did it to Dhanny after they got drunk and had a fight in November. “With Dhanny, David meant it in a sexual way but he unfortunately scared her. He apologised [on Tuesday 22 November] and let her strangle him to feel the power,” says Antony. Dhanny seems to enjoy David’s kinkiness and it’s hard to miss their sexual tension when she accompanies David to the Queen Of Hearts poker tournament on Wednesday 23 November. “He takes Dhanny with him so that she can take note of Queen Of Hearts owner Denton’s (Terence Bridgett) layout and spy for him. Also, David is happy to spend time with her,” Antony reveals.
TRUST ISSUES
By Monday 28 November, Dhanny and David are ready to explore their changing relationship. “But for Dhanny, it still feels like David isn’t fully trusting her,” adds Mayuri. In order for their partnership and possible relationship to work, Dhanny tells David on Friday 2 December that he must apologise to Busi for strangling her. If he does that, she might be prepared to sleep with him… and give him her virginity, not that she tells him that she’s still a virgin. “It would be interesting to see how he reacts to that info if they ever get that far in their bizarre courtship,” teases Antony. But knowing devious David, he might just take Dhanny’s virginity and break her heart at the same time…
