Passion on pause for Zende and pregnant Nicole
The next nine months will be the toughest for young lovebirds Zende and Nicole.
Nicole Avant (Reign Edwards) was so overwhelmed by the chance to do something amazing for her sister Maya (Karla Mosley) that while she gave only a passing thought to her romance with Zende (Rome Flynn) and he tentatively agreed to support her, neither has really had much time to let the situation sink in. But it really starts to hit home on Wednesday 23 November when they’re smooching on the couch. Things are just getting hot and heavy when Nicole has to push Zende off her – according to her doctor’s visit earlier in the day, sex is off the cards until she’s safely carrying Maya and her husband Rick’s (Jacob Young) baby. For now until after the implanted embryo takes, she’s got to abstain… no matter how much Nicole and Zende want to give in to their passion.
COLD FEET
On Thursday 24 November, Nicole and Maya’s dad Julius (Obba Babatunde) comments that a hot young man like Zende will attract wannabe lovers like flies the moment that they find out that Nicole is pregnant. “Julius is really going for it with Zende. That was really fun when I read that in the script,” says Reign. But Nicole is adamant to forge ahead and everyone gathers for lastminute support and warnings as she goes for the implantation procedure on Monday 28 November. While they wait to hear whether she’s pregnant, it’s clear that Zende is already chaffing at Nicole’s restrictions on Friday 2 December when he pouts about not being able to take Nicole to bed.
ZENDE’S TEMPTATION
“Nicole agreed to this surrogacy pregnancy and she really didn’t think about Zende and his feelings,” admits Reign. “He was upfront and said that he wasn’t comfortable with her having a baby, but she put her sister before him.” All that Nicole can do now is hope that Zende is a stand-by-her kind of guy – especially when he has such great chemistry with a potential new Forrester model in late December…
