Ndalamo (Lesley Musina) has taken eight months to get over Nthabeleng (Mona Monyane) dumping him and on Tuesday 6 December, the businessman is encouraged by his little sister Rendani (Innocentia Makapila) to get back into the dating game. But he should’ve listened to his gut instinct when something strange happens on his first date.

“Rendani encourages him to try online dating,” explains Lesley. “Ndalamo is lonely, so Rendani writes up a profile for him.” Rendani also chooses a date for her brother on Thursday 8 December and Ndalamo plays along, even choosing a fancy restaurant for his date on Friday 9 December. But Ndalamo’s night is ruined when he discovers who he’s meeting: his cousin Vusi’s (Raphael Griffiths) stalker Onika (Makgotso M) from July 2016 shows up, claiming that Ndalamo’s blind date can’t make it, so she’ll be taking her place. Onika’s arrival makes Ndalamo curious on Monday 12 December and as Lesley explains, “She’s interesting. He knows that she drugged Vusi and tried to kid- nap him, but until the date he had no idea what she looked like. She’s portrayed as having a medical condition likened to schizophrenia.” Lesley adds that what Ndalamo finds fascinating about Onika “is that she isn’t a golddigger. He notices that she is downto- earth and not materialistic”. Lesley adds that this is a new feeling for Ndalamo on Tuesday 13 December, to be interested in someone who likes him for something other than his wealth.

Rather than make it obvious that he’s into Onika, Ndalamo hosts a party on Wednesday 14 December for his friends and he makes sure that Onika’s at the top of the guestlist. “He wants to know what other people think of her, especially because Uncle Gizara (David Sebe) wants Ndalamo to settle down,” says Lesley. What Ndalamo doesn’t know is that Onika seems to have ulterior motives on Friday 16 December and it may have something to do with Vusi. “Ndalamo met Onika and something huge is going to unfold in his life – it’s going to change a lot for him. Ndalamo is in way over his head. Onika is Miss Right-Now, but she’s definitely not Miss Right.” Even Ndalamo’s business partner KK (Macdonald Ndou) isn’t pleased with Onika being around, but an ill-advised Ndalamo fobs off KK’s warnings on Monday 19 December. Nonny is angry that businessman Pule didn’t ask her to marry him, especially after she made their date night as perfect as possible, so she gives him an ultimatum: make things official with her or leave. Later, Pule and Nonny’s disagreements threaten their relationship, while over in Thathe, Azwindini ponders his son Mulondo’s questions about how Azwindini’s been so quick to take Mpho as his new wife while forgetting about his pregnant, ailing wife Susan.

There’s drama in the royal house when Susan’s health takes yet another dip, and Azwindini is in a tight spot when he must choose: Susan or his unborn heir. Back in Joburg, Nonny schemes for a way to make Pule commit to her for life but her plan backfires and Nonny is forced to walk away. Ndalamo tries to impress Onika and get his family’s approval of her, and KK has a warning for Ndalamo when it comes to Onika.

Azwindini’s made his decision on who will live, and Ndalamo ignores KK’s warnings about the danger he’s in with Onika. Meanwhile, Nonny tries to talk to Pule but he isn’t interested.
