Nkosinathi’s murder case returns to break Mondli and Nosipho’s hearts.

Officer Mondli (Thembinkosi Thwala) was out walking with his son Thato (Qhawe Dubazana) on Wednesday 30 November when he tripped and fell right back in love with Nosipho Xulu (Nompilo Maphumulo), despite their bitter break up in July 2016 when he dumped her to marry Thato’s mom Mantwa (Lungile Mtshali). A flicker of hope from Nosipho on Tuesday 6 December sends Mondli racing to his lawyer for a divorce on Wednesday 7 December and he sets out to romance Nosipho’s pants off. But love is headed for a head- on collision with his career…
Mondli takes his courage in his hands on Monday 12 December and he tells Nosipho that he’s divorcing Mantwa. “He’s afraid,” admits Thembinkosi. “He betrayed Nosipho and there’s nothing he can do to change that. He needs to be man enough to apologise. But Mondli knows that he’s going to win her heart back, because he knows that Nosipho loves him. He tells her that Mantwa was never his first love and that he loves Nosipho. He only married her for the child,” says Thembinkosi.
Nosipho is over the moon and by Tuesday 13 December she knows just how to show that she’s serious in return: by inviting Mondli to be her “plus one” at her new brother Ayanda’s (Kay Sibiya) wedding. “Mondli is excited and relieved because he knows that if she’s asking him to come to the wedding, that means it’s a 110% getting back together,” Thembinkosi adds.
The lovebirds get just one episode to be happy though, because on Monday 19 December Nosipho’s aunt Jabulile (Nompumelelo Ndlovu) escapes her mental institution and asks Mondli for help – with proof that Nosipho’s mom and brother Lindiwe (Dawn Thandeka King) and Mxolisi Xulu (Nay Maps) committed the crime that Jabulile’s son Bandile (Ayanda Luthuli) is serving time for: the murder of Nkosinathi Mdletshe (Sipho Mhlongo). “He has no choice but to use Nosipho again,” Thembinkosi says. “There are few chances of the relationship surviving that. That’s the problem that he’s facing.”
GC stakes his claim on his man and gets strict with Fikile after Jojo gives him some business advice. Ayanda rejects the Xulus’ traditions, including imbeleko – introducing his newborn child to the ancestors. Smangele and Ayanda have bad luck at their umembeso (when the groom’s family bring gifts to the bride’s family), and Zandile turns her nose up at the ceremony. Mondli tells Nosipho that he loves her and he’s getting a divorce, while Hlengiwe warns Smangele to come clean about what she’s hiding. Sibahle crashes the wedding, while Mxolisi and Sibahle connect. Thobile wakes up in bed next to her dream man, and the newlyweds are home. Mondli stands up to Lindiwe, and rings are exchanged in front of church elders. Jabulile breaks out of the mental institution and begs Mondli to help her save Bandile, Smangele pretends that Buhle’s sonogram printout is her own, and Mxolisi invites Ayanda and Smangele on a double date.
