Newcomer Rome Flynn has three credits on his acting CV: Leon in 2014 TV movie Drumline: A New Beat, “Quarterback” in 2014 short film Two-A-Days and more recently, Zende Forrester Dominguez in Bold & Beautiful (1987-current) since 2015. And playing adopted AIDS orphan Zende, first portrayed by Daniel Smith between 2001 and 2002, has “transformed my life in more ways than one,” explains Rome.

A lot of work’s gone into his shirtless scenes on Bold – and we’re not talking about hours working out in the gym. Rome had tattoos on his biceps and chest but started removing them in 2015 to set a better example for his daughter, as well as improve his chances of getting more showbiz roles. The 24-year-old and his model girlfriend Camia Marie have a two-year-old daughter named Kimko. The leading ladies in Rome’s life are also his biggest fans and there are loads of photos of them on his social media sites, @romeflynn on Instagram and @RomeTrumain on Twitter. So where does the “Trumain” in his Twitter handle come from? His full name is Rome Trumain Flynn and the Chicago native has African, Cuban and Irish blood in his veins. Acting isn’t his only talent. Rome is a former athlete who earned a full varsity scholarship for basketball and football. He also taught himself to play the guitar. When it comes to his dress sense, Rome is impossible to miss on the red carpet – he loves bright-colours and floral-loving Norwegian designers Moods Of Norway decked him out in a peach-and-mint floral suit at the 2016 Daytime Emmy Awards in May this year.
