Niki and Themba pretend to be Puleng and Suffo to get the DNA test back. Weekdays e.tv (*194) 19:00

Reformed gangster Suffo (Mduduzi Mabaso) has taken two wives and both have slept with his brother Themba (Sphamandla Dhludhlu). While he gave first-wife Niki (Nolo Phiri) the boot back in September after finding out about her infidelity, he’s now ready to kick Puleng (Tebogo Khalo) out too – she’s carrying Themba’s baby! Or so they think – the couple never did go fetch those DNA tests that Suffo demanded in November 2016…

WIFE SWAP

“Niki is determined to get to the bottom of the test results,” says Nolo. “The hospital phoned her on Monday 19 December, thinking that she was the Mrs Ndlovu who had them done.” Niki spotted her opportunity and dragged Themba with her and they posed as Puleng and Suffo on Tuesday 20 December to get the test results. “But they’re not what the two expected…” says Nolo. Despite doctors telling Suffo and Puleng in July 2016 that their genes were incompatible and it meant that Puleng couldn’t carry Suffo’s child to term, something magical has happened and Suffo really is the father. Not that he’ll find out anything soon, thanks to shady Niki having the results.

IT’S PAYBACK TIME!

Nolo explains that “Niki is still bitter for Suffo kicking her out and how he kept their daughter from her. She sees this as an opportunity to get back with him but he doesn’t want her”. On 23 December, Suffo, who’s down in the dumps after non-stop fights with Puleng about her affair, isn’t mean to Niki for a change. She mistakenly thinks that they might get back together and Nolo adds that “Niki has always wanted to resolve matters with Suffo, but [on Monday 26 December] he tells her that it’s not happening.” This proves to Niki that she was right in destroying the test results and “Suffo is better off not knowing [that he’s going to be a dad]”.

KICKED TO THE CURB

Puleng fears the test results. Suffo wants to be a dad. “Puleng wants a baby as she believes it will keep her marriage together,” says Tebogo. She gets a taste of Suffo’s fury on Wednesday 28 December when he loses his temper at club Kilowatt after Puleng asks him for money. “After this division in their marriage, it’s going to be difficult for Puleng and Suffo to go back to where they were. If only they’d remembered to collect their test results…” teases Tebogo.
