The season 2 finale flashback of How To Get Away With Murder (2014-current) in April 2016 showed law professor Annalise Keating’s (Viola Davis) hubby Sam (Tom Verica) blackmailing her assistant Frank (Charlie Weber) to kill Sam’s lover Lila (Megan West). Lila was threatening to expose their affair after Sam learnt that Frank fed info to crooked billionaire Wallace Mahoney (Adam Arkin), which allowed Wallace to set up the car accident that caused pregnant Annalise to lose her baby back in 2000. Twisty! With season 3 here, this is where we stand with Annalise and the Keating Five – the legal students at her side…
1 Annalise has been demoted and flyers are circulating anonymously with “Killer” scrawled on her face.
2 Wes Gibbins (Alfred Enoch) killed Sam (season 1 episode 9, 2015) and Connor, Michaela and Laurel helped get rid of the body. Frank murdered Wallace in front of Wes in the season 2 finale, just after Wes found out that Wallace was his father via rape.
3 Connor Walsh’s (Jack Falahee) lover Oliver (Conrad Ricamora) got Stanford University to drop Connor as a student. Annalise is so impressed that she hires Oliver at her firm this season.
4 Michaela Pratt (Aja Naomi King) got over her breakup with her rich, gay fiancé by hooking up with Asher.
5 Laurel Castillo (Karla Souza) broke up with Frank but she’s not over trying to phone him!
6 Asher Millstone’s (Matt McGorry) mom disowned him after his rich dad committed suicide and Annalise and Asher’s lover Bonnie (Liza Weil) helped him stage a suicide after he murdered Emily Sinclair (Sarah Burns) (season 2 episode 9, March 2016).
