FEBRUARY
Katlego and Candice turn up the temperature on their romantic relationship during a trip to Cape Town but Kat’s pal Botshelo (Neo Ramitshana) returns to Turfloop and threatens their relationship. Sonti surprises her family with her revelation that she’s going to dump her cop boyfriend Babeile, and Leshole stands up for himself in front of the class, leaving his teacher Alfred worried. Rachel tries to get her way with Sakhile again and asks him to use his position as a lecturer to stop Fanie moving into the varsity res but he refuses. New witnesses are willing to testify against Emkay for his friend Jama’s death in July 2016, and Leshole is expelled for his continual outbursts.
MARCH
Tbose and Kwaito offer their support to a discouraged Emkay after the verdict has been read in his court case, while Leshole is forced to apologise to Alfred for his unruly behaviour in the hopes of being allowed back into Turf High. Lelo’s got a new scheme up her sleeve and it involves taking Baby Nosi to live with her aunt but Mangaliso stops her. Meanwhile, Leeto’s nosy parents are trying to stop him from building his dream house as they don’t think he’s mature enough to live without them, which disappoints Leeto’s wife Mokgadi. Later, Mokgadi’s mom Mary (Motshabi Tyelele) arrives to take Mokgadi’s side, and Mangaliso also gets a visit from his mom, who’s in town to see her granddaughter but she isn’t impressed when she learns of Lelo’s prison past. Mapitsi then tells her family that Sonti left town for Lehasa.
APRIL
A depressed Leeto thinks that his life is falling apart and he orders his folks to stay out of his marriage, while elsewhere Ma’Ntuli and Clement are crushed when they find out that her daughter Sthoko went on a date with her abusive husband again. Sonti’s family is disappointed when she tells them her future plans, and DJ Mangaliso’s star fades after Bontle accuses him of stealing her music. There’s nowhere for Sonti to hide when Katlego confronts her for not keeping her promises, and Mangaliso badmouths Bontle again but she lashes out and proves that she wasn’t lying about the music. Lelo regrets believing her babydaddy Mangaliso’s lies, and Rachel is looking for a blesser.
