The power of a kiss
Katie and Brooke land in familiar territory as Bill’s eyes wander back to his sister-in-law Brooke.

Katie Spencer (Heather Tom) welcomes her beloved sister Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) to Spencer Publications with open arms on Thursday 2 February, unaware that Brooke has already stabbed her in the back. Ever since Brooke kissed Katie’s husband Bill (Don Diamont) on Wednesday 18 January, neither has been able to get that moment out of their heads. Now Bold fans are going to shake their heads as sweet, naïve Katie complains to Brooke about how annoying she finds it when Bill’s secretary Alison (Theodora Greece) behaves like Bill’s “office wife” in front of her on Wednesday 8 February, completely blind to the affair brewing between her husband and sister.
KISS-SLAP-KISS
Bill seemed startled in January when Brooke said that she couldn’t be near him because she was “addicted” to him. But her kiss has reignited Bill’s own addiction to their dramatic chemistry. On Friday 3 February, Brooke strides into Bill’s office telling Alison to hold his calls and she tells Bill that he’s her “stallion”. And then it’s kiss-slap-kiss as Bill loses control. Well, that’s how Bill sees it – on Monday 6 February it turns out that he’s daydreaming while Brooke’s trying to get his input on her sketches for the fashion magazine. And when Brooke brings up the kiss again, trying to apologise, Bill sternly tells her that he wants to make it crystal clear that he’s committed to Katie. Moments later, he is eyeing Brooke’s every move and we see his gaze linger on her legs, her hair, that tight dress…
THE POWER OF THE KISS
Brooke and Bill seem determined to resist their attraction, but like real addicts they can’t resist surrounding themselves with temptation. On Thursday 9 February, Brooke comes up with a “brilliant” concept for her first issue of the magazine – The Power Of The Kiss! “I think it should be something provocative, something passionate,” she tells Bill. “I just thought since Valentine’s Day is coming up, we really should focus on passion and desire. And then I can incorporate some… Bill? Do you like it? The power of the kiss.” But he’s stopped listening as he falls into a passionate fantasy of snogging Brooke.
NOT THAT INNOCENT
“What I really love about the writing is that Brooke puts these things out there in this ‘innocent way’, but what it does is create a secret and intimacy,” says Heather. “You suddenly share this secret with this person and their spouse or loved one doesn’t.” And given their history, it won’t be long before Katie starts catching on…
