Nox frames her ex-boyfriend Bash for killing her husband.

Bash (Siphiwe Mtshali) finds it hard to say no to his ex-lover Nox (Thishiwe Ziqubu) when she pleads with him on Wednesday 15 February to kill her husband. “Nox is great at deceiving people and she convinces Bash that Dan (Phillip Molepo) is physically abusive. Bash must save her from Dan and be her hero,” Siphiwe says. Nox is so sincere that Bash forgets all about how she broke his heart in April 2015 and how he’s cleaned up his life ever since she disappeared. She also promises he can share in the spoils of Dan’s life insurance policy that will pay out after his death. So on Friday 17 February, Bash agrees to shoot Dan.
WAKING TO DISASTER
“Bash doesn’t realise that he’s being played,” explains the actor, revealing that it’s actually a trap. Bash arrives on Monday 20 February to find Dan already dead, unaware that Nox sent her dodgy pal K2 (Nhlanhla Masiya) to do the deed first. Before a confused would-be killer can take in what’s happening, Nox and K2 cover his face with a rag doused in chloroform and Bash passes out. When he comes round on Tuesday 21 February, there’s a gun in his hand and the cops are on the way. “Bash is trapped and realises what’s going on. He’s disappointed that Nox, someone he loves, tricked him again. This totally throws him off,” Siphiwe says. The character is arrested on Tuesday 21 February but is released later that day because the murder weapon found in his hand isn’t “sufficient evidence” to hold him according to the police. Bash breaks down sobbing on Wednesday 22 February and Siphiwe laments that “he’s in trouble for something he didn’t do!”
DOWN IN THE DUMPS
Bash confesses what went down to his sister Niki (Nolo Phiri) and ex- girlfriend Reneilwe (Amo Chidi) on Wednesday 22 February and the next day, Thursday 23 February, Niki asks her gangster exhubby Suffo (Mduduzi Mabaso) to get to the bottom of things. It’s a big ask as Suffo still holds a grudge against Bash – he and Nox stole from Suffo’s club Kilowatt in April 2015 before Nox fled. But he agrees and meets up with Nox on Thursday 24 February, although the meeting doesn’t go well. Smoothtalking Nox wraps Suffo around her little finger and it seems that Niki and Renei’s plans to prove Bash’s innocence has gone straight out the door…
