Thabiso uses Namhla and Nolwazi to hurt his rival Fana.

There’s nothing better to boost a girl’s confidence than attention from the new guy in town and Namhla (Thuli Phongolo) is enjoying every second she gets with her new pal Thabiso (Matli Mohapeloa). “But she’s put him in the friendzone – she doesn’t want a romantic relationship. And he’s on the same page,” says Thulisile, because on Thursday 2 March, Thabiso also cosies up to newly single Nolwazi (Thando Thabethe).
IN HARM’S WAY
Fresh out of prison, Thabiso is out for revenge and he’s got his sights set on Fana (Mnqobi Duma), his lawyer who couldn’t get him off his rape charges. So now Thabiso is hoping to use the women in Fana life – his sister Namhla and one-night-stand Nolwazi – to get back at him. On Monday 6 March, Fana is fuming when he spots Nolwazi chatting to Thabiso at gym. “In February, she told Fana she wasn’t looking for anything serious, but now it looks like she may have moved on,” Thando says.
But it’s more than irritation though, as Fana knows about Thabiso’s crime history, so he’s genuinely concerned for her safety. When he tells Nolwazi that Thabiso is a convicted rapist, “She gets the shock of her life!” says Thando. “She blames Fana for not telling her sooner and she’s scared that she could become Thabiso’s next victim.”

But at the same time, Fana’s sister Namhla is unaware of Thabiso’s past with women and the two have dinner again at her apartment on Thursday 9 March. Fana arrives to find Namhla changing tops after she spilt a drink and he immediately jumps to conclusions, thinking that she’s falling for Thabiso. He reacts heavily and that’s exactly what Thabiso was hoping for so that he can now set the siblings up against each other.
Fana warns Thabiso to stay away from his little sister – and out of his life, Thulisile says. Thabiso obliges and keeps his distance from Namhla for now, but then the focus of his wicked revenge plan turns back to Nolwazi. On Friday 10 March, she realises that Thabiso is stalking her and as they already have a volatile relationship, “Nolwazi believes it’s all Fana’s fault for getting her into this mess,” Thando explains. Thabiso can tick another box on his revenge plan – creating friction between the two ex-lovers. “The only thing Nolwazi can do now is protect herself and hope it’s enough.”
