Days (1965-current) viewers are having an identity crisis. John Black (Drake Hogestyn) isn’t who he thinks he is… again! The final piece in the long-running puzzle about the true identity of Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) former “pawn” was slotted into place perfectly back in December 2010 (for South African viewers) when he found out that he was really Ryan Brady, the lovechild of nun Colleen Brady (Alison Sweeney) and Stefano’s father Santo DiMera (James Scott), who was later adopted by the Alamains and re-named Forrest Alamain. But on Friday 3 March, all that is going to change when Hope (Kristian Alfonso) gets a call from John.

Hope tells John’s son Brady (Eric Martsolf), “He’s [John] been digging around in the family history while he’s been in Europe. It turns out that your dad wasn’t Colleen Brady’s son. Colleen was so desperate to find the son she had with Santo. And the people at the orphanage took total advantage of that.” Apparently Ryan Brady died in the orphanage… and that means John has no idea who his mom or dad could be. He’s back at square one…
