It’s baby time! The Forrester mansion is buzzing on Monday 3 April as Caroline (Linsey Godfrey) goes into labour. And while she’s upstairs in the birthing pool going over precious memories of her romance with hubby Ridge (Thorsten Kaye), downstairs the Forresters are getting gabby. On Tuesday 4 April, Ridge’s ex-wife Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) lets slip to his jealous little brother Rick (Jacob Young) that Caroline is having a “miracle” baby since Ridge must’ve had his Paris vasectomy reversed…
Meanwhile, Ridge’s son Thomas (Pierson Fodé) who, unknown to everyone but Ridge and Caroline is their baby’s biological father, has been banned from the birthing room but can’t suppress his excitement at meeting his new “baby brother”. And as the baby enters the world, grandpa Eric (John McCook) sheds a tear and comments that Ridge’s late mother Stephanie (Susan Flannery) would be so proud of the new addition to the family “born of pure love” – not realising that the baby is really the product of a drunken rape in September 2016. Yes, while some babies are born with a silver spoon in their mouths, a true Forrester baby is swaddled in 100% pure scandal!
BROTHER-SON
On Thursday 6 April, Ridge and Caroline coo over “our miracle, our son” and Caroline warns Ridge, “I understand why your instinct is to keep Thomas away. I know that you’re just being protective of me and the secret and I don’t really see how we can avoid it.” So Ridge pops downstairs to invite his son to meet the baby. And the sight of little Douglas rocks Thomas. “I feel so protective of him,” he tells Caroline. He vows to protect the baby, telling Ridge, “You have an incredible wife, Dad, and a beautiful baby boy. I would be lucky to have a life like yours.” Well, it’s going to be just two months until at least one part of that wish comes true…
