Leeto (Eric Macheru) hasn’t been coping after his wife Mokgadi (Pebetsi Matlaila) confessed that she had a child in her teen years and her guilt saw her move out of their marital house in late March 2017. Leeto’s concerned father John (Africa Tsoai) wants him to fix his troubled marriage on Wednesday 12 April, but Leeto’s mom Meikie (Harriet Manamela) doesn’t trust her daughterin-law after hiding that secret from them. “The stress is getting to everyone and they want to find the baby,” says Eric. And while Meikie doesn’t want her daughter-in-law around, Eric explains that “John hopes that Leeto and Mokgadi will sort their issues out. He wants to see his son happy again”.

DROWNING IN DESPAIR

With Mokgadi gone, Leeto falls into a state of depression on Thursday 13 April and his family don’t know how to get his spirits up again. Leeto is distressed on Friday 14 April when he opens up to his brother Tbose (Cornet Mamabolo) about his concerns about is marriage. “Leeto speaks his heart to Tbose and tells him that Mokgadi hurt him. He didn’t see the secret coming and though that his marriage was perfect,” reveals Eric. While the young man blames his wife for wrecking their marriage, Mokgadi blames her mom Mary (Motshabi Tyelele) for ordering her to keep the secret in the first place. On Monday 17 April, Mary tries to get Mokgadi and Leeto to make peace but Meikie puts her foot down. “Meikie’s never liked Mokgadi! She doesn’t want her son around Mokgadi or her mom – she’ll do anything to make sure that Leeto stays safe,” says Eric.

I WANT YOU BACK

But persistent Mokgadi manages to get her hubby to answer her phonecalls on Friday 21 April and they meet at a restaurant to try clear the air. “Mokgadi tells Leeto the whole truth about the baby and a part of him understands why she kept the secret from him,” says Eric. Leeto tells his parents on Tuesday 25 April that he wants to work things out with his wife and his mom is against it immediately. “She opposes the idea of them getting together at every chance she gets. Meikie campaigns for them to call it quits and she doesn’t think Mokgadi’s good enough for Leeto,” hints Eric.
