Strategy is king when Banzi’s eye starts wandering from his wife.

From the outside, feisty businesswoman Claudia (Chichi Letswalo) is living every woman’s dream: she’s wealthy, well put-together and she runs a successful business empire with her dodgy hubby Banzi (Hamilton Dlamini). “And Claudia will do whatever it takes to protect this perfect image,” explains Chichi. And she’s not joking about “whatever it takes”. Claudia is sent a photo on her cellphone on Wednesday 12 April, of Banzi with a mystery woman whose face isn’t visible. Chichi says that her character goes on a big-time damagecontrol mission. She knows that Banzi has a wandering eye but she hasn’t caught him. Until now… “And it’s messing with her head,” Chichi explains.
KEEPING UP APPEARANCES
Claudia goes on a charm offensive from Thursday 13 April by helping her stepdaughter Palesa (Tshenolo Seabi), plan a fundraiser to benefit students in need and while she isn’t keen on hosting the event at her club Panther, Claudia agrees to it after some careful consideration. “She lives to get atten- tion,” Chichi explains. “She also knows that people like those who do charity work.” Even if it means being on a team with her daddy’s-girl stepdaughter who Claudia doesn’t care for. “It’s all because Claudia is strategic in her thinking,” says Chichi. “She’s constantly working to get Banzi’s validation and she hopes that the fundraiser will win him back from the photo woman.”
WHO’S THAT GIRL?
Banzi’s mysterious mistress Amber (Carol Mkhwanazi) visits Claudia on Monday 17 April and pretends to befriend Claudia by proposing a business idea. “But she actually wants to get Claudia out of the way!” Chichi says. “Amber is desperate and willing to do anything to win Banzi’s heart.” This isn’t the way to do it though because Banzi looks like he’s seen a ghost when he walks in on Monday 24 April to find his wife and mistress having a chat. He isn’t sure how much Claudia suspects or what Amber has revealed, but it makes him realise that family comes first and while he has his secrets, Banzi cares about his family. As Chichi says, “Banzi will do anything to keep Amber from ruining his family.” And when it comes to bad guys, “anything” is often “that thing”…
