Businesswoman Mmamosa’s (Sonia Mbele) shady husband Tiny (Lucky Khoza) had a heart attack and was declared dead on Tuesday 4 April. While she was upset at first (her marriage of convenience might’ve been about a bit of love too…), Mmamosa is over mourning Tiny and she wants to now enjoy the comforts of what her esteemed, wealthy businessman hubby left her. Little does she know that Tiny took her for a ride and she’s left with less than when she met him!

MOURN NO MORE

“Mmamosa was shocked at finding Tiny dead in bed, but now [Monday 17 April], she’s even more upset when she learns that he’d lied to her and that he was in debt,” Sonia explains. Tiny had invested money with Mmamosa into the ASA gym that she works at, but his portion didn’t exist. “He was all talk, no action. Tiny had nothing and he left her with nothing. Mmamosa is left with nobody, so she turns to her son Tladi’s (Solomon Sebothma) best friend Tongai (Kagiso Rathebe) for comfort and that leads into a friends-with-benefits situation.” Mmamosa decides later on 17 April that the best way to get out of her moneyless funk is to throw a party and she makes sure her new loverboy Tongai is the centre of attraction. “He loves the attention that she gives him and she loves the attention that he gives her. So it’s a win-win for both of them,” chuckles Sonia.

COST OF A CRUSH

The party doesn’t cheer Mmamosa up though – her son walks in on her and her much-younger lover on Tuesday 18 April, leading to a rift between the mother and son. “Tladi is a mama’s boy. He always tries to look out for her, so they’ve tried to hide their relationship,” says Sonia. They should’ve tried harder because Tladi catches them in the shower together and Sonia says that “he’s disgusted and tries to break away from the family and his friend. Tladi doesn’t want anything to do with them and he wants to walk away from it all.”
