Race for the ring
Wyatt’s all set to snatch up Steffy in a quickie wedding, but he might not be fast enough.
The countdown to Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Steffy’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) wedding begins on Thursday 20 April when Wyatt tells Steffy that they’ve waited long enough, it’s time to ring those bells. But with just five days to go until they take the leap, they have no idea how many stumbling blocks are in the way of their big day…
GATHERING CLOUDS
Back at Quinn’s (Rena Sofer) cabin Steffy’s amnesiac former fiancé Liam/ Adam (Scott Clifton) is scratching his poor scrambled head trying to work out what’s wrong with his and Quinn/ Eve’s faked wedding photos. And as Liam’s rapidly returning memory is starting to replace Adam’s “wife” Eve’s face with Steffy’s in the photos, Quinn is preparing to flee the country with Liam now that she’s fallen in love with him. There’s even a return from the dead (see p43 for the juicy details) threatening the wedding as it begins on Tuesday 25 April.
STORMING THE BEACH
But if there are storm clouds gathering to wreck Wyatt’s beach wedding plans, he is so determined to get that ring on Steffy’s finger that he’s turning a blind eye. Even when security guard Charlie (Dick Christie) shows him footage of Quinn kidnapping Liam on Wednesday 19 April, he’s quick to accept his mom’s explanation. “I think that’s one thing that’s in the back of Wyatt’s mind, how things are going to turn out after Liam comes back, when he comes back from the yoga retreat or wherever he’s at. Yeah, he’s got a job with Dad now, he’s got the girl, his life is great right now. His mom isn’t meddling in his life, to his knowledge. And if Liam comes back, what’s it going to be like?” asks Darin. “He will deal with it then, but there’s always that insecurity and paranoia.” And it’s that insecurity that drives him to demand that Steffy join him for a quickie wedding in the first place.
