The ghost pack
A haunting is coming to the werewolves of Beacon Hills in the final season of Teen Wolf.
Season 6 Wednesdays Vuzu (*116) 21:30
Dorky Stiles Stilinski (Dylan O’Brien) is gone in Teen Wolf (2001- current), erased from memory and existence by the Ghost Riders. They are the creepy new threat who’ve rolled into Beacon Hills in the 20- episode final season and the horse-riding, mummy-looking cowboys are ready to take down the wolves and other supernatural town citizens. “‘Grabbing’ souls wipes that person from existence and we wanted to do something frightening but different for season 6,” explains series creator Jeff Davis. “What’s scarier than death? Being forgotten!”
MORE MONSTERS
The Ghost Riders aren’t the only threat for alphamale werewolf Scott McCall ( Tyler Posey), his wolf pack and their supernatural friends. Their physics teacher Mr Douglas (Pete Ploszek) turns out to be a super Nazi Alpha male who has a habit of eating a part of his victims’ brains. “The first 10 episodes of the season deal with the Ghost Riders and the Nazi Alpha male,” says Jeff. Then the second part introduces something much scarier: a third threat. “In terms of horror and supernatural inspired by the books of [US author] HP Lovecraft [from the early 1900s], it’s a new kind of horror. We have some of our grossest stuff coming,” adds Jeff.
BEACON HILLS’ NEWCOMER
SA actress Sibongile Mlambo (Eme in Cape Town-filmed pirate drama Black Sails, 2014- current) is joining as new high school teacher Tamora Monroe. While the show hasn’t revealed much, Jeff says that “what I can tell you is that Tamora is both an antagonist and a sympathetic character”.
THE LAST HOORAH
The final episode, which should air in early 2018, will feature familiar Teen Wolf faces. “I have a long list I’ve reached out to,” Jeff confirms. A fan-favourite who’s highly likely to return is Tyler Hoechlin (Superman in scifi show Supergirl, 2015- current), who played alpha male Derek Hale until leaving at the end of season 4.
