RANT & RAVE
I love Isidingo and tune in every evening at 19:00, but Gabriel and Nikiwe are spoiling my viewing pleasure. They have weak storylines and don’t bring me any joy – UTHANDO, VIA SMS
While I am happy to see that the SABC3 is listening to its viewers and moving shows around to earlier timeslots (see more on p8), I’m still sad that I won’t be seeing the rest of The Following or Arrow. I just hope sometime in the future the channel decides to air the missing episodes. Oliver Queen is such a good-looking guy and I miss him – THELMA, VIA EMAIL
I hope SABC3 will bring back Arrow and The Following. Why can’t they slot them in an afternoon slot? – ESTA, VIA SMS
The bad grammar and incorrect spelling in the sub-titles of all the news programmes and local soapies leave a lot to be desired. I want to cringe! – BETH, VIA SMS
I want to congratulate Colton Haynes from Teen Wolf and Arrow on his engagement to Jeff Leatham. What a cute couple – ANTHONY, VIA FACEBOOK
The most elegant female presenter on TV is Bonnie Mbuli (Afternoon Express). The others on our screens can learn skills and dress sense from her! – JUDY, VIA SMS
My wife absolutely loves Afternoon Express on SABC3 and she’s now got the old man hooked. We enjoy all the presenters and their slick professional delivery… especially as it’s a live show! The humour and repartee is great fun. Keep it up, guys! – PENSIONERS, VIA FACEBOOK
Zakeeya Patel looks so lovely and serene in her sari on Mela. Thank goodness she doesn’t wave her arms around like other talkshow hosts – KATHY, VIA SMS
SABC3 can’t leave us hanging on High Rollers. They must oust Luther, Denton, Frank, Pam, Busi and most of all Tallulah. And we want to see Ben and Esme together! – JAY, VIA SMS
I can only shake my head at the SABC as the three channels rotate the same movies between them. I’m hoping that they will air some more modern and well-known titles soon – TERTIUS, VIA SMS
Please bring back the 7de Laan omnibus on Sundays. It really helped us with catching up – MASABATA, VIA SMS
When the final High Rollers episode aired, I bid SABC3 farewell as this soapie was the last link that kept me tuning in and watching – YVONNE NEETHLING, VIA SMS
SABC, there are so many complaints about shows that are aired by you that if the subscriber doesn’t pay licence fees, you won’t have a monthly salary – HESTER, VIA SMS
Why is SABC3 changing evening news to 18:00, which is the same time as 7de Laan on SABC2? Don’t the channels “talk” to each other? – LOREEN, VIA FACEBOOK
I was very surprised to see a cross-over between Broken Vows and Scandal! on e.tv the other night. I hope they continue this trend – LYNTON, VIA FACEBOOK [SEE MORE ON P4]
Why doesn’t the SABC have an exclusive sport channel, like SuperSport on DStv? Then all the sport can be dumped there and it won’t affect the programming of SABC1, SABC2, SABC3! – DAMON, VIA FACEBOOK
Tyson on Isidingo is a selfish, cheating liar. Angie will learn not to mess with married men – KIM, VIA FACEBOOK
e.tv has the perfect timeslots for their international series and films. Maybe the SABC needs to shut SABC3 and turn it into a sport channel – LUNGZ, VIA FACEBOOK
