McGar­rett (Alex O’Lough­lin) and Danno (Scott Caan) are turn­ing up the ac­tion in sea­son 7 of Hawaii Five- 0 (2010- cur­rent). “I had a month of drink­ing through Europe,” teases Alex, “but it’s time for the fun stuff. There will be some bro­mance.” Steve and Danno are blood broth­ers af­ter Danno do­nated a chunk of his liver in the sea­son 6 fi­nale (July 2016) when McGar­rett was shot. “Danno’s go­ing to be re­mind­ing Steve all the time, ‘I saved your life. You owe me!’” laughs Alex. Steve’s part­ner isn’t the only one keep­ing him busy though…

WOMENLY WOES

Episode 7 (11 July) is the show’s 150th and it’s a big cel­e­bra­tion, says Alex. “Many shows don’t get this far or to bring char­ac­ters back this far in.” He’s talk­ing about Steve’s CIA agent mom Doris (Chris­tine Lahti), who’s in trou­ble af­ter a mis­sion goes wrong. Alex adds that “Steve’s also got to deal with his agent ex Cather­ine (Michelle Borth). He wants to leave the two of them to sort out their is­sues while he’s up­stairs [Laughs].”

COOL CAMEOS

Who wouldn’t want a trip to Hawaii for work? Not these guest stars… Mar­shal Wes Lin­coln (Lou Di­a­mond Phillips, Henry in ac­tion se­ries Long­mire, 2012- cur­rent) gets in the Five- 0’s way in episode 14 (29 Au­gust) while they hunt a mur­derer. PI Harry Brown ( Wil­liam Forsythe, Manny in pe­riod drama Board­walk Em­pire, 2010-2014) is search­ing for a busi­ness­man’s kid­napped wife in episode 20 (10 Oct) but he’s not telling the team every­thing he knows about the case… And in episode 24 (7 Nov), the Five- 0 squad lend a hand to re­formed art thief Ger­ard Hirsch ( Wil­lie Gar­son, Mozzie in ac­tion show White Col­lar, 2009-2014) with his new ven­ture: clean­ing crime scenes.
