SA did it first! On 6 December 2006, Steve (Emmanuel Castis) married Luke (Gary D’Alessandro) in Isidingo (1998- current) five days after same sex marriages were legalised. The first same-sex wedding on US soaps was Bianca (Eden Riegel) and Reese’s (Tamara Braun) in All My Children (1970-2013) in 2009. But on 1 April 2014, Will and Sonny’s nuptials were the US’s first same-sex wedding with two men.
