David has a new crush but it’s one he’ll want to forget in a hurry.

Soapie villains don’t come dodgier than David Genaro (Jamie Bartlett). But like every other TV baddie, David is heading for trouble when his past comes calling. Roberto and his prisoner wife Flavia (Jose Domingo and Gabriella Cirillo) want revenge for David duping them out of their illegal meat syndicate on Wednesday 7 June and they have a secret weapon: a girl named Pearl (Petronella Tshuma).
WHO’S THAT GIRL?
“There’s an immediate attraction when she walks into David’s club Zer011 later on Wednesday 7 June,” explains Jamie. “And although their age difference is awkward, there’s an intense attraction. David’s never felt this way; it’s like he is seeing himself in her,” explains Jamie. Flavia got chatting to fellow convict Andisa (Tina Jaxa) in late May and they found that they have someone in common: David. Andisa is almost finished her sentence and wants to tell David about his daughter and Flavia has offered to help – Pearl must just contact Roberto. By Wednesday 7 June, jobless Pearl has been talked into seducing David, unaware of who he is.
STRANGER DANGER
“It’s clear that Pearl wants to get into bed with David – that’s her mission,” says Jamie, whose character is smitten with the young woman. But he should count his lucky stars that he surrounds himself with equally shady friends – on Monday 12 June, David’s business partner Niki (Nolo Phiri) suspects that Pearl might be hanging onto David to steal his money. And that’s half her money. “Niki warns David,” says Jamie. “She’s used to his full attention and now he only has eyes for Pearl.” What’s that saying again, about how it takes one to know one?
WHO’S YOUR DADDY?
David knows that Niki has a talent for spotting liars but he doesn’t have to look far for the truth. It comes looking for him – literally. David gets a surprise visitor on Monday 19 June when his convict ex-lover Andisa shows up and drops a bombshell on him. “He’s confused and shocked and disturbed,” explains the actor. “David took pity on Pearl after she told him that her mom was in prison and she didn’t have a father.” It isn’t often that he’s left speechless, but wait ’til David finds out who tried to get him to sleep with his daughter. There won’t be anywhere for Flavia and Roberto to hide…
