Re­al­ity dance show World Of Dance (2017- cur­rent) is strut­ting onto our screens. And while we’re look­ing for­ward to con­tes­tants lit­er­ally put­ting their best feet for­ward to win $1 mil­lion (R13 mil­lion) cash, it’s the four judges we’re more in­ter­ested in for now. And for good rea­son…

1. NE-YO

The 37-year- old singer-song­writer is also a dancer and chore­og­ra­pher. He stud­ied at the Las Ve­gas Academy Of The Arts and has a crit­i­cal eye for style. Judg­ing style: tough, firm and fair. TV claim to fame: guest judge on Amer­ica’s Got Tal­ent (2006- cur­rent) in 2016. He says: “You have to earn that mil­lion. This has to be the best of the best!”


The 47-year-old New Yorker has been danc­ing for over 35 years, start­ing in 1991 on In Liv­ing Color (1990-1994). Judg­ing style: the mom fig­ure who makes the con­tes­tants pizza. TV claim to fame: play­ing Har­lee in cop show Shades Of Blue (2016- cur­rent). She says: “I love dance at a core level. I con­sider my­self a dancer first be­cause I be­came a singer and an ac­tress af­ter.”


Danc­ing is in his blood – the 32-yearold’s par­ents met ball­room danc­ing and his grand­par­ents were US na­tional cham­pi­ons. Plus, Derek’s been win­ning com­pe­ti­tions since he was a teenager. Judg­ing style: love­able goof­ball who puts the dancers at ease with his jokes. TV claim to fame: win­ning six sea­sons of Danc­ing With The Stars (2005- cur­rent). He says: “We have per­form­ers from around the world do­ing ev­ery style!”


The 36-year-old met her hubby Chan­ning Tatum on the set of 2006 dance movie Step Up and was hand­picked by Janet Jack­son as a back-up dancer. Judg­ing style: all-Amer­i­can sweet­heart. TV claim to fame: 2014 judge on So You Think You Can Dance (2005- cur­rent). She says: “I’ve been danc­ing my whole life. I’m even danc­ing back­stage here. I just can’t stop mov­ing!”
