Flavia convinces Pearl to kill her gangster dad David Genaro.

Lawyer-turned- convict Flavia (Gabriella Cirillo) is desperate to get revenge on David Genaro (Jamie Bartlett) for stealing their meat business from under her nose. She’s tried just about everything to ruin his life except the one thing he’ll never see coming. On Wednesday 5 July, she convinces David’s newly found daughter Pearl (Petronella Tshuma) to murder him. “At first, the plan was to destroy his businesses, but now she’s going for the kill,” explains Gabriella, whose character blames David for letting her rot in jail. “She’s angry! Flavia is driven by her emotions and she thinks that David’s responsible for her being in jail while he takes over the streets of Joburg,” says Gabriella.
THE FALL
Pearl is in a sticky situation on Thursday 6 July when Flavia’s hubby and partnerin- crime Roberto (Jose Domingo) gives her an ultimatum: kill David or we’ll come after your ex-con mom Andiswa ( Tina Jaxa). “It’s too late for Pearl to back out now,” says Gabriella. With Pearl feeling trapped by the death threats, she tries to push David away on Monday 10 July to make it easier when she finally kills him. Gabriella explains that “Flavia expects Pearl to forget about her bond with David. She warns Pearl against his gangster ways and hopes that this will get Pearl to dislike him”. But Andiswa learnt about Flavia’s underhanded dealings in jail and she’s Pearl’s trail. Later that day, she tries to reach out to her daughter. “Flavia uses David’s absence to get into Pearl’s head to finish the job. It’s been a long time coming and she wants him dead already,” adds the actress.
BLOOD TIES
David is also on Pearl’s tail on Tuesday 11 July when he notices her jumpy behaviour and he goes into investigative mode. He follows her around to find out if he’s right and “he’s getting close! David is intuitive and wants evidence to prove that Pearl is working with Flavia and Roberto,” says Gabriella. While Pearl’s become David’s reason to live, she’s also become a reason for him to die and on Thursday 13 July he vows to protect her against any danger. “No one sees this coming. David’s willing to give everything up for Pearl and that makes her rethink her murder plot,” explains Gabriella. Pearl regrets get-ting into partnership with Flavia and Roberto who hired her in early May 2017 to seduce David but “Flavia is livid that it’s taking so long to murder David. She’s scared that her scheming will never happen,” says Gabriella.
GET IT OVER WITH
Pearl is losing the plot and hesitant to kill David on Tuesday 18 July. Unlike her dodgy dad, pulling the trigger doesn’t come easily to her and she’s terrified to get blood on her hands when she gets the chance later that day. “Pearl is confused. She’s battling her bond with her newfound father and one with her mom,” says the actress. Pearl has been waiting for the perfect moment to get David alone in his office with a gun in her hand but “it’s complicated for Pearl, She’s scared that she might lose the family that she’s always wanted and pulling the trigger could ruin everything,” teases Gabriella.
